Caring for the towel is so simple: It's always best to wash with cold water and with similar colors. Machine wash, wring out excess water, hang to dry (recommended) or tumble dry on low setting. I've been using this towel for quite some time now and I have to say that I love it! I love that the towel can be multi-use and versatile. Essentially you can take it to the beach, use it in the shower, use it as a picnic towel, bring it to your workouts at the gym or anywhere you see fit. The towel is large enough to accomodate any activity and is very soft too! It feels plush giving you that added comfort and support in your routine while also looking stylish! I chose the pink colored towel and I am not disappointed; it is a very beautiful pink. It is intended to be used over a yoga mat which is great because it will keep things hygenic. Who wants to do yoga on a sweaty dirty yoga mat? I do not own a mat though. Bummer. However, this towel still works beautifully on wood surfaces as well as tile. I usually just put a shower towel underneathe and then the Shandali towel over it and it does not slip! (If it does slip a little it's on my part because I still have to improve my stances and poses.) It provides me with a sense of security that I could strike any pose and not slip and fall. You might be asking yourself how the Shandali Yoga Towel is anti-slip? Well, by slightly dampening the yoga towel before starting your practice, the microfiber becomes grippy against the mat. This mix of moisture and the microfiber creates the anti-slip properties that Shandali's towels are known for. The company states that the best option is to use your yoga studio's spray bottle to wet your towel before class but if you could essentially spray it with a simple water bottle too! I'm not fancy and I don't go to studio yoga classes. I just stay within the comfort of my own home and spray it with water all over. This helps a lot with reducing slippage.  Remember: In order to prevent the yoga towel from slipping you should dampen it a little because it is a little slippery when dry. Another thing that makes this towel is its absorbency! It does a great job of soaking sweat during practice and it dries rather quickly.
