What I love about these brushes is that they are made with a combination of high quality pony hair, goat hair, and synthetic hair. The combination of these hairs make these brushes super soft and silky and feel great against your skin. Synthetic brushes are great for liquid-based makeup, while natural hair brushes pick up and distribute powder makeup evenly and smoothly. By the way, it is important to note that Petunia doesn't test on animals and no animals were harmed to make these brushes; Petunia Skincare is a proud member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), and does not test any products on animals. I think that is a major plus and I applaud this company for that. 

These brushes are super soft and silky on top, yet durable and long lasting at the bottom, and with continuous use these brushes get even softer and that's saying a lot considering these brushes are already super soft! These brushes allow you to apply colors smoothly and the pigment does not cling to hairs after application, allowing you to blend and reuse colors without cleaning after each use. This is very convenient if you like to use multiple colors on your eyelids but don't want it to look like all the colors clashed against one another. If you are like me and you like your blush brush to be angled, then I would use their foundation brush as your blush brush as I did and their blush brush as your foundation brush. It is just much easier for me that way. The eyeliner brush is soft yet stiff enough to make very precise lines on my lids. The lip brush is very sophisticated because it comes in its own case if you will. The powder brush is the one I use the most and is one of my favorites. It applies the right amount of powder onto my face and disperses it evenly. These brushes are also very easy to clean. Because these brushes contain natural hair they do not need to be cleaned frequently, but when you absolutely need to just run them through warm water, clean with your favorite shampoo and rinse thoroughly. To dry the brushes simply place them on a clean flat surface to dry. You could also put on the guards (which are included in the box) to maintain their shape.

These are high quality brushes. I know this because while cleaning the brushes I did not notice any shedding of the brushes. The bristles are very sturdy and look to last a long time. Other brushes I've owned in the past shed too often and are hard against the face, but these do not and are super soft (I know, I already mentioned their softness but its just that they really are soooo soft!)  The only problem I had with these bushes is the smell they had the first time I opened the box. It had that "new smell" to it which I dislike. This is minor though as the smell goes away completely after a few days out of the box; I guess the case and brushes just need to breathe a little and problem solved. Other than that I have no complaints about the brushes. I cannot stop raving about them. Best set I own! These brushes retail for $89.99 but they are on sale for $47.77 and are prime eligible! These are definitely worth the cost.
